Mauritius PM Ramgoolam to visit Ram Lalla temple tomorrow

Dr Navin Chandra Ramgoolam will be the second prime minister from another nation to visit Ayodhya and worship Lord Ram Lalla after Bhutan Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay, who visited Ayodhya earlier this month.

The Mauritius prime minister will visit Ram Lalla temple here tomorrow.

Officials here on Thursday said the Dr Ramgoolam would reach Maharishi Valmiki International Airport tomorrow on September 12 at 11 am by a special plane from Varanasi, where he will be received by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s representative, Ayodhya district in-charge minister and state Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, with a red carpet welcome in the traditional style of Mauritius.

From Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, the prime minister will go to the Ram Mandir, about 15 km away, via Prayagraj-Lucknow Highway, under special security cover. During his one-and-a-half-hour stay the prime minister will worship Lord Shri Ramlala with rituals and can observe the construction work of Ram Mandirat while officials of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra will serve him prasad.

He will go to Jatayu mound located in the Ram Mandir premises and perform Jalabhishek of the ancient Shivling.

Dr. Ramgoolam’s Ayodhya visit is being linked to the strengthening of cultural, religious, and diplomatic relations between India and Mauritius. The Mauritius PM will depart for Dehradun from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at 12:30 pm.
